un día en Oviedo

La ciudad de Oviedo tenía una fiesta el martes. Dormí hasta el mediodia debido a mi "jet lag", pero oí fuegos artificiales del parque San Fransisco en mi apartamento. Mi familia no tenía ganas de salir ese día. así que me fui con la familia de Mallory a la fiesta. Fuimos un concierto en un parte diferente de la ciudad de Oviedo. El concierto fue en una carpa blanca grande. Tienen comediantes y cantantes durante el tarde y comimos comida española. En el vespertino una banda tocaba música, tocaba español y estados unidos canciones. Tocaba O-Wimba-Weh del Rey Leon,que era extraño, pero es muy divertido, también. Las ofertas de barras bailó esa canción. Mallory y traté de bailar, fue muy divertido. Yo no era muy bueno pero todavía había un montón de diversión. Disfruté de mi primera fiesta española mucho.

What I'm Expecting in Spain

I really looking forward to going to Spain; it’s somewhere I’ve always wanted to go. My biggest fear is that I don’t know the language very well. I have only taken one semester. I feel like I can understand words, but I can’t really say anything or come up with what to say on the spot. I’m nervous about living with strangers, but if they let students in their house they must be nice people. I don’t love sea food, so that is also a concern. I’m really excited to be somewhere new to see all the architecture, especially that Cathedral in Oviedo, it looks beautiful. It’s girly, but I’m looking forward to shopping. I’m really hoping that I will be able to learn a lot more Spanish; I want to learn the language not just make my way through expensive classes for nothing. Also, this sounds cheesy, but I’m looking forward to being challenged. Hopefully coming home not just with amazing photos and sweet new leather jacket :), but also grown up with a new perspective on life. Hopefully a better perspective.
